Perfectly situated between the stone path leading to the home and extensively landscaped garden screening, the pool provides an ideal design statement. Glass fencing ensures there is a clear view from the house over the pool and far sundeck, and that the lush, green outlook from the pool area isn’t obstructed.
The pool is set within an expansive timber deck, with sand-coloured stone coping that integrates perfectly with the colour palette of the house and retaining walls.
A centrally positioned, raised stone feature wall has a dual purpose – hiding the pool equipment room, plus also providing the perfect, central location for a horizontal, sheer descent water feature. To enhance the feature at night, an LED light has been installed in the ledge beneath the water feature, with additional lights in the pool itself.
The pool, which is 1.0 – 1.8m deep, has been fully tiled in pale blue hues, with deeper blues used for waterline tiles and to define the steps.
Another main requirement was ease of maintenance, and there is an in-floor cleaning system, automatic dosing chlorination system and automatic water leveller. And with its good solar access, solar pool heating was the obvious choice.
